I picked both McGraw & Foster because I think it is difficult to say which is the better "player" when you are comparing pitchers vs. players. It's like asking who was the better player - Ty Cobb or Walter Johnson?

My opinion is that McGraw is clearly the best position player among the managers, while Foster is clearly the best pitcher among the managers.
