Our family has always put up the tree Christmas eve, too. We cut ours from a tree farm a week ago; it has been sitting in water outside since then. It was $40, as every tree is regardless of size. The choices were limited this year, ours is only 7 ft tall, instead of the usual 8 1/2 ft. But, it is perfectally shaped, as it has been trimmed and pruned at the farm.

There are advantages to living in the northwest, in tree country.
