Adam J. BaxterBob,
I've seen Zee-Nuts without coupons graded by both SGC and PSA. I haven't yet come across any that are slabbed by GAI. The only thing to my mind that will interfere with slabbing or downgrading Zee-Nuts is how the coupon was removed. If it was torn or recklessly trimmed off, that can affect the grade or whether or not it will be encapsulated. Also, if the coupon was trimmed or torn off, taking a large portion of the actual card with it, that will keep it from being graded. Finding a post 1912 Zee-Nut in slabbable condition can sometimes be a challenge. I've seen and owned quite a few Zee-Nuts with the bottom ripped off, trimmed at an angle, and cut so that 3/4 or less of the actual card remains. When it comes to finding nice Zee-Nuts, patience is the key.
Becoming familar with the measurements of a Zee-Nut with the coupon trimmed off properly will be your best bet for knowing whether or not to submit it for grading. I forget if the 2005 Catalog lists the proper measurements or not.
