Default And for another Babe Ruth book story....with zero feedback

Posted By: Max Weder

I may have missed out on a great bargain, or I may have avoided a great scam. While the Ruth signature looks real, the seller has zero feedback:

When I inquired as to whether I could have someone pick this up in person, he replied "I am not sure about picking it up in person. My only issue is proof that I gave it to you. Handing it to you or someone else, doesn't leave me any proof that I actually have it to you. I'd rather mail it with signature confirmation for my safety. Unless u have a better idea?"

I suggested the delivery could take place at a lawyer's office, with notarized proof of delivery, or with any other suitable escrow agent.

Strangely enough (or not), I never heard back from him before the auction ended. The high bidder will indeed have a tremendous bargain if the seller is legitimate, and may no doubt be tempted to bid on the vendor's other auctions which include Versace pants.

Any thoughts?

Max
