ScottBut let's also be realistic - I'm talking about cleaning that cannot be detected. If you flick off some small pieces of tobacco from an old Polar Bear-backed card, or soak off some minor bits of album residue, to a point that no one could tell it was ever there, what's the point in mentioning it? The exception is removing writing where some evidence remains - but then again, how can you tell how intense the writing was to begin with?
And to be devil's advocate, what if the "aging stuff" was added recently? What if some kid got hold of Dad's NM t206 card and got crud and writing all over it...say yesterday...is it okay to remove that?
