Rhett YeakleyI could be wrong, but it was my understanding that the 1941 Playball set was actually produced over a two-year period (1941-42). Those produced in 1941 were only from the low-# set-and every card has a date of 1941 on the copyright line on back. In 1942 the low-# cards were reproduced along with the more difficult high-# set. However, the low-#'s produced in 1942 do not have the date on the copyright line. If this is the case, they were producing all of the cards in 1942, so that would make these wrong backs very possible. I will also note that while wrong-backs of vintage cards are extremely rare, the 1941 Playball set is by far the most common.
