during the mid 60's and early 70's bill freehan was the BEST CATCHER IN THE A.L.--he was an all star selection every year from 1964 thru 1973. does he have a case for the hall? http://www.baseball-reference.com/f/freehbi01.shtml his stats say NO. But,if you are the best of your era,should you be denied.
