I am neither a McCarver basher nor supporter, but with all the crap being dumped on him here I thought it was great for comparison purposes to see how Joe Morgan did his job one night later. My personal opinion is that I've seen him better (but even on his best nights he's not the second coming of Vin Scully).

Joe had a couple of brain farts last night (he once called Torre Stottlemyre and also referred to Mel as Todd). Even given that, Joe is less obnoxious than McCarver simply because he doesn't feel the need to talk as much as Tim does.
