Default Adding To America's Toughest Want List

Posted By: cmoking

Bruce, I'll give you a chance to explain your situation with me. Here's my side of the story, what's yours?

----
I offered Bruce a E95 Bill Carrigan SGC 84 card. We agred on $1600. This was on June 10th, and he told me a check would be mailed on June 11th. About 10 days go by, and I get no check. Upon emailing him, I am told he has personal issues and needs about a week to make a decision on buying my card. I allow him that time. On June 30th, he emails me back saying his personal issues will stop him from selling, trading or buying, and he renegged on the Carrigan.

I bought the story. I thought 'ok, the guy has some personal issues'. It turns out that the posts on this thread shows this behavoir is typical! I'll refrain from posting in this thread again because I don't want to get more perturbed than I am now. But Bruce, keep in mind, I will be there in the future, letting people know the story.

Good luck!

edited to add:
I almost forgot about this part.

On June 27, Bruce offered a 1933 DeLong Al Simmons PSA 7 in the N54 BST pages. I was interested in the card, and the last sale on ebay by my records was for $1600. I think Bruce may have been the winner. Anyway, I thought this was a perfect card for me to trade for since they were both around the same price level. I emailed Bruce seeing if he would do that swap. I thought if he had personal issues, trading would make it easier for him. As I mentioned earlier, on June 30th, he emails me back saying his personal issues will stop him from selling, trading or buying.
