My Father, and his brother worked at the Fore River (Quincy) ship yard after he was DC'd from the USMC in the early 50's. It was a bustling workplace where thousands of Bostonians were employed and made a strong wage.
Some worthless trivia, The founder of Dunkin' Donuts Bill Rosenberg, worked there as well. The limited break options available to the 24* Fore River gangs spawned his brilliant idea! There is still a Dunks on that same site in Quincy since 1950
