Well... the Pennant question has apparently been solved. The letter to Mr. O'Meara, dated December 30, 1955 indicates this is a REPLICA Pennant.

Although the type is small, it appears to say "Replica of Original Knickerbocker Baseball Club Pennant of 1845". So it looks like we, as a group made some good "educated" guesses!
