Not to hijack Leon's thread (okay, I am hijacking it) but Thelma Todd's murder is unsolved to this day, and still gets brought up on tabloid TV. She was in two Marx Brothers movies. She was pretty and funny, kind of a poor man's Jean Harlow, but when she was killed in 1937 she was forgotten by everyone except movie buffs.
