It can't be Tommy Holmes. Brooklyn did not wear uniforms that said "Brooklyn" on them in 1952 - Holmes only season with the Dodgers.

edited to add: I agree with Jodi that this photo is c1940...I would guess it's 1939-42 and not any later than that.
