Gilbert MainesCards are entirely too fragile to actually be in the hands of individuals. Many board members have pointed out their inability to be trustworthy custodians of these historical objects. Not a moment too soon, there will be the sale of card options and direct purchase (and ownership) of cards which you will be permitted to visit for scheduled viewing.
These cards will be stored at depositories equipped to insure the minimization of the effects of our environment on them. But a replicard will be issued which is an exact duplicate of the one which you actually own. Of course, at some later date the grading standards will be modified to make sense.
