You can probably resize your high resolution scan. It seemed to work nicely with the St Paul photo. It was scanned with an original size of 22 cm x 30 cm at 300 dpi. I reduced it to about 7 cm x 10, and it showed up nicely on the board.

If you want to send me your high resolution image, I'll try and resize and post it for the board
