Aaron M.The 1907 Chicago Cubs composite team postcard with the pennant attached. I looked for this postcard for about two years and then it popped up twice in a span of three months (first Mastro, then Hunt) and I was outbid both times. That was almost a year ago.
Of course, as so often happens, I deeply regret not bidding more and would now gladly fork over the dough for either of the winning bidder prices (the Lelands one was in much better shape so it sold for about $800 more than the Hunt one).
On the side of completing a grail quest, I looked for a '48 Gehrig Leaf premium for almost two years and then two popped up on E-Bay in a matter of a couple of weeks. Sheer paranoia drove me to buy them both. I justified it to myself that I would place the two side by side, keep the one I liked best and re-sell the other on E-Bay. Of course that was a few months ago and my paranoia's still prevented me from actually selling the extra...
