the most widely used program is auctionstealer.com. They also have a couple of other names that I forget off hand. They have a very limited free service that will place a bid between 10-20 seconds left in the auction. If you are looking to drop a bid at the 2 or 3 second point, you will have to pay for that. If you buy a lot, it's a worthwhile service to have.
