JoshAlthough the old grandfather story is usually suspect, I am pretty sure mine is true
I keep the cards in a lock box at home. I've never gotten them graded, just because I'm a little cynical and don't want them to get lost, ruined, breathed on wrong.
My grandfather lived in the lower east side of New York, and would round up old newspapers and garbage from his neighbors in the tenament house. After he gave his mother most of the money, he'd buy tobacco to chew, and save the cards. He played stickball in the alleys, so he loved baseball, and saved his cards. They are not in the greatest condition, but they are something that reminds me of him, and I smile when I look at them.
So, you can take what I say at face value, I guess.
To the other members of the board, thanks for the welcome, and I look forward to chatting with all of you!
