Jimmy Scott ElkinsWell, in the above post I mentioned seeing a 1915 Cracker Jack Cobb at a Flea Market for $100 when I was around 8 years old and I couldn't afford it. This post got me thinking - I remembered there being a 1914 CJ Cobb for sale. Well, after exchanging a few e-mails with Greg at BOTN, I can say I will finally have a CJ Cobb! Hard to believe out of all the Cobbs I have owned, I have never owned one until now (or when Greg gets my $ and ships the card). I guess I had been concetrating on Cobbs that I would eventually re-sell and worrying about future profits and not about obtaining the one I have wanted for 24 years.
Thanks Scott B. for this thread - I now have (or will have) an example of the first real Cobb card I ever saw and have wanted to own ever since! I will have to put this in my safe along with my Elvis card and Wacky Packages! Also, thanks to Greg at BOTN - as always, it is a true pleasure to deal with Greg!!! Scott is right - taking a short walk down memory lane is much more pleasant than bashing each other or some grading company!
