BillyBI had emailed the webmaster of baseball-almanac.com with a question about a problem I discovered. He very politely replied to my concern, and at the bottom of his reply he added the below which I thought might be something other users of the site might want to know.

If you would like to sponsor a player page that too is available and it’s a very inexpensive way to show your support, advertise your site, or simply put up a message of your own on your favorite player. First, look up any player in history (click the link). If the page is available, near the top you will see a link that says "Click here to sponsor this page" and visiting that page will provide complete details.
