There were two distinct printings; one with board covers with a fancy paper design affixed to it; and a deluxe edition with a cloth cover that had the title gold-stamped. Two recently appeared in auction- Mastro and Robert Edwards- and both were the lesser quality paper variety. I have personally handled about five copies of both style, including at one time both the copies that were auctioned, and it is fair to say that there are about a dozen out there total, but it's just a guess. My own personal copy is the deluxe edition. The paper covers tend to wear more quickly and don't have really great eye appeal. Among baseball book collectors it is considered one of the two or three most important baseball books, and are highly treasured.
