steve kI visited Cooperstown last summer. While in the wonderful building, not for one second did I think about the "bad things" that some of the players had done off the field. The HOF is for lifetime achievement on the field, except when somebody intentionally attempts to alter the game's outcome through gambling. Modern baseball management has its faults and voting in an average player such as Bill Mazeroski was a mistake, but for the most part the HOF is a perfect place for the perfect game.
