runscottmyself and Pat. Someone started posting using my name and admonishing me for not logging in. Also id'd himself as Elliot twice.
I used to log in until one night two of us were logged in and chatting merrily away, then when I switched over to the Mastro auction I was logged in already - as the other guy in the chatroom. And it also turned out that he was logged in as me, and had bid on several very expensive non-baseball lots that I had no interest in. So no - I will not log in to the chatroom, regardless of what others tell me about the above situation being impossible. I was told that this is an inherent problem of online chats - information is passed continuously and is available to others, even when seemingly hidden.
And, Leon, we all love Elliot and appreciate what he's done. I say that again, because any time anyone makes a complaint or suggest an improvement, the thread turns into an "Elliot appreciation" thread ad nauseum, and this thread is meant to be a "bitching about hi-jacking" thread.
