Take the FBH Kelly. It is a gorgeous card, but part of it's gorgeousness is that it's Kelly--strikingly handsome, a fine (but hardly the greatest!) player of his time, loved by absolutely everyone, who died because he fell asleep in the snow in an alchoholic stupor.

On the other hand, Leon's nomination...yeah. Great card (love the purle background!)

I'll renominate the Kelly FBH as 19th century card.
