FYI, a few years ago, when the grading thing really took off, I was told by more than one PSA authorized dealer that slightly rough edges was a plus because it showed the card had not been handled much.

IMHO, slightly rough edges only means that the cutting blade was running out of useful life when the card was made. Like a razor blade; the last use is the one that rips the skin.
