Marc S.It is sort of the nature of the beast, I guess. Frankly, it is nearly impossible to achieve the standard you mention regarding centering.
PSA, SGC, BGS and GAI all have centering allowances for a GEM MINT card -- differing slightly by company. However, SGC, BGS and GAI all do have a slightly higher grade -- the SGC 100 Pristine, the BGS 10 Pristine, the GAI 10 Perfect and the elusive SCD 11 Pristine. Those are all reserved for so-called "Perfect" cards. As it is -- pricing the GEM MINT examples is a crapshoot more times than not. By adding in that next tier up, it is anyone's guess.
Thank God I still keep a significant amount of my collection raw and not in graded-card holders. Otherwise, sometimes I think I might need to be committed
