JulianI guess the reason for my post is the fact that it went the distance, and that someone actually bid the card over $18,000.00. I know that on this board, not a lot of the members would let a "steal" like this go by. I mean really, I even emailed Richard(Dr? Koo's) when he last had his/Justin's 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle up for auction. I went to this board, and to my surprise, already about 10 posts on the card itself, the origin, the sellers deception, and the real truth when previous posts by the seller hung him with his own facts.
"You are bidding on the MOST POPULAR Sportscard on the market today! The 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle Rookie PCG 9.5 MINT+! It has been graded by the Northwests leading Sportscard Authenticator's --PRO Choice Grading--- PCG Guarantee's everycard they grade to be 100% Authentic and Un-Altered in anyway! There are less than a handful of 1952 Topps Mantle's out there that are in this kind of condition! A card like this only comes along once every couple of years! Feel free to verify the card at www.prochoicegrading.com. The serial# is 2558560."
Members, what is the difference between "PRO" and "PRO Choice Grading?" They seem to mount their cards on that always tough "AAA" grading company, facsimilie holder.
