I have a Johnny Kling with the "color variation" like your Tinker example where instead of a red background the background is peach & orange color. I have seen several others on EBAY this past year as well.
I also have a "printer's scrap" of Chief Meyers with an interesting twist. Not only are there several light gray tone ghost images on the front which carry over into the border of the card, but there is also a reverse image of the Sweet Caporal back in red ink which has the "S" starting on the top border.
The ghost image on the right is the same pose of Chief Meyers batting, and I'm unsure of the image on the left border. I guess this card reflects either a bad day at the presses or a good example of "test" scrap.
