I gave away two Old Judge Hoys, about 12 years ago...and I couldn't find another one! Anyware! (I've told this story before. Yawn.) Finally, about 4 1/2 years ago, Lew Lipset had a gorgeous one in an auction. I was so nervous I kept bidding. Every time someone would outbid me, I would outbid HIM. After a while I noticed that my Hoy was going for more than any of Lew's Hofers. I called him to point this out. "Hm." he said. Then he called me back. "YOU'RE doing it! You're inflating ther bidding! Shut up till the night the auction closes." $1378. (this is five years ago, mind you.)
