Those of you who know my buying habits realize how difficult a choice this is for me.

Off hand, there are multiple occasions I've spent $750 on a "beater." (Gypsy Queen Brouthers, Mayo Anson), lots more where I've spent near $500 (E121 Ruth, Mayo Robinson, Mayo Rusie, A35 Kelly, Goodwin's Champs Keefe -- though that one is attractive with a bizarre defect or two.)
