Ryan ChristoffAren't there several Twins fans who are regular posters on the board? When evaluating a "great" pitching performance I would have look very carefully at the importance of the game. We can probably all agree that Game 7 of the World Series is as important as a game can get, so here's my pick for top pitching performance, followed by a few others, in order:
1. Jack Morris Game 7 1991 W.S. - 10 shutout innings
2. Don Larsen - nuff said
3. Any Bob Gibson World Series game
4. Satchel Paige - 3 shoutout innings for the K.C. Athletics at age 59. You'd think big leaguers could score a run of a senior citizen in 3 innings.
