Joe Merkel (correct spelling) is not the "head grader" for SCD Authentic. Joe was hired by SCDA prior to its opening its doors as a consultant to help set up the "system" by which a grading company operates. He is retained on a consulting basis at this time. 99.9% of the grading done by SCDA is by its in-house staff of graders.
