last time i checked, the BIN only costs an add'l nickel. but if he used that, he'd lose the valuable exposure for his card that will confer all sorts of fame and success upon his entire enterprise.

he could at least claim to have had it appraised, or claim that somebody assured him it would be graded a '9' ...
