Tbob, As I stated on my previous post I have an SGC 40 Matty-blue that is 2 5/8 and an SGC 92 Clarke-pastel that is 2 5/8, as well as a Conroy-ungraded that is 2 5/8 (which I just found in my stuff).........one of the graded ones is a 4-5 year old grade and the other is a newer grade.....I believe they do not have to be 2 3/4 as the SCD states.....if yours is 1/16 smaller than these AND has some other bad characteristic(s) I think you would want to be careful...I only have limited experience but that's my one cent worth...hope it helps...best regards..
