scott brockelmanleon, the type 1's are by far the toughest to find in nice condition. the type 3's are also scarcer than the the type 2's but don't seem to be hard to find in top grade, a recent mastro auction had a group lot of hofers and lipset's auction had 5 hofers in a lot all appearing ex or better and it only brought $369 +/-. it even included speaker. i thought you got a type 1 chase from me at the national but it must have been someone else, kinda wish i had saved it. the other rarity is the type 3 with the factory 8 overprint, again scarce but available.
