They got lazy. The sin is especially bad because Wrigley Filed, as much as Ebbets Field, featured a distinctive facade of its own complete with marquee.
I feel like they missed out on a chance to make something special, don't you?
But, I'll take Ebbets Field standing-in for Wrigley if my alternative is that awful Busch Stadium II stand-in for the friendly confines by ASCO from the late 1960s.
That one was unforgiveable!
