I mean, if we're making cases based on suspicious late career stats, Gwynn's doing well in his late 30s can't hold candle to Nolan Ryan's leading the league in strikeouts 7 times from ages 25-32 then 0 times for the next 7 years, then 4 years in a row
in his 40s.
