I definitely prefer the Topps Certified - I cannot get to very many games, but I did get a Johnny Estrada in person at a Flip earlier this year and purchased a 1958 Lenny Green from a seller on ebay, but I have several hundred certified cards.
I agree with an earlier post in that Topps Certified is the best chance of getting an authentic auto without getting one in person.
I think of those authenticators and quite a bit upstream from me, so I 'trust' them.
