My biggest issue is the amount of Pokemon and my question is what was there before the Pokemon. Was the show smaller or have the Pokemon delaers pushed out other dealers for some reason. It was a long Friday for me over 3 1/2 hours each way and I saw just about all the same dealers as I would see up here in Philly, so not worth the trip. Venue was nice with lots to eat nearby and easy to get to but damn it seemed to be nearly 40-50% Pokemon...

Dealers that stopped setting up at Chantilly have left on their own accord. They were not pushed out by Pokémon dealers. At the end of each show a contract is placed on your table and they can fill it out it or throw it way.

The broader hobby market has a demand for Trading Card Games (TCG) and Pokemon is one of the largest Intellectual Properties (IP) in the world. It’s bringing kids to shows and the market is hot in terms of top cards in sets rising and holding values. I don’t collect it, but I’m not blind to what’s going on in the hobby.

The hobby isn’t just pre-war baseball cards and certainly not the 1950-1970s mass printed stuff that is all over Chantilly/Philly/Strongsville/the National
