Great story! Some have have postulated that Babe Ruth couldn't hit major league heat today. But the Babe faced him in his prime during a barnstorming game in the 1930s. I cannot recall the exact date or even year, but I believe it took place in the thirties, when Ruth was past his prime. Anyway, Satchel Paige tried to sneak a fastball by him, and Babe Ruth connected like the ball was shot out of a cannon. Satchel whipped his head around in disbelief, only to watch that baseball soar majestically over 450 feet for a home run over the center field fence. Ruth could hit anyone's fastball.
