You could spend the money and have a reputable company compare the ears and tell you definitely it is not Charles Comiskey.
Or you could simply compare the players in the 1879 photo of the Dabuque team to the players you identify as these same players 2 years later. It's just not them.
You say it is a $50k photo so why wouldn't it be worth a couple hundred bucks to verify?
