The plot to throw it was made before he had 3 chances to win his 30th game...this theory makes no sense in the timeline of events...Cicotte does not cite this at all in his confession either and believe even said he had no ill will toward Comiskey or he felt bad for doing this to him...something like that...would have to re-read it.
