Hi all - I just received the Delong Gehringer in the photo below. It was sold along with an autographed index card, as you see.
No red flags with the eBay listing - the seller is clearly a vintage card dealer with a good-sized inventory (although mostly postwar), 99.8% positive feedback, and the price wasn’t too good to be true. The only unusual thing was the inclusion of the auto.
I wasn’t expecting that the authenticator would also handle the auto, but I assumed they would at least inspect the card. Nope - they just said it was “miscategorized” and shipped it on to me. Total cop out, but whatever.
The card looks/smells/feels good to me, including under magnification, so I have no reason to be suspicious. But it’s my first Delong, so if you could help me to confirm that it’s fine, I’d appreciate it. (The auto also looks very consistent with what I saw in a quick search, FWIW, but I’m not particularly concerned about that part.) Thanks!
