Dang if that is not another thread. Here's a M101-4 of Lee Magee (who, incidentally is not eligible for Hall of Fame consideration, as he only played 9 years in MLB).

On a hobby note, this card, despite being rather trimmed, can still be identified as from the M101-4 grouping of sets. Yes, it is missing the card # (108 in M101-4, 106 in M101-4), the player position (L.F in M101-4, 2nd B. in M101-5), and the team/league designation (New York Am. in M101-4, New York Americans in M101-5).

How do you tell then? Cards with Sporting News backs were only produced with the aforementioned M101-4 characteristics. I could have just said that. Instead, consider yourself schooled.
