Black Bears around here a pretty harmless, but they are aggressive scavengers when nobody’s around to scare them off. Kind of like raccoons with super strength
. They rip down our deer fencing at least once a year to get to our fruit trees.
We made the mistake of setting up a bird feeder inside the run we use for the dogs, and they climbed over 2 sets of fences to get to it.
They are quiet to. Dogs usually don’t even notice they’re in the area. Squirrels make more noise trampling through the woods then the bears do.
