Well, looks like much ado about nothing. Might help some guys a little bit here and a little bit there, but likely mostly psychological, or just to throw a bit of a kink in a pitcher/pitching coaches strategy here and there.
The main Yankee players who were using it and got hot the first week of the season, have been pretty mediocre or downright awful at the plate ever since.
Also turns out, this has been in use for years around the league, and we just happened to notice it...the MIT guy the Yankees credited with the technology was already working for a different team...and Aaron Judge still doesn't need a "Torpedo Bat", to hit the ball very, very far.
