Haha, I saw that.
To his credit, he took it pretty well when LT said no.
LT's not the type of guy anybody should take life advice from, but he had a point when he said Carter should pick his own number to try and immortalize and make his own.
Also, I don't think Carter was really serious to begin with. It's not like he wore #56 in college. I think it was actually more of a tribute to the history of the Giants and LT to begin with. A way to acknowledge the past.
I don't think the kids of today are as oblivious of the past as we think they are.
