Despite being a dedicated collector of all things Cleveland baseball over the past 35+ years, there are still many items I have not come across nor seen before. Case in point is this 1973 Gaylord's Discount Department Stores 8x10 Photo of Gaylord Perry. The photo is on paper stock similar to the 1940s-60s Cleveland Indians picture packs, and has a facsimile autograph and inscription from Mr. Perry

With a little guesswork and a lot of luck, I was able to confirm the producer of the photo and the event / series of events at which it was made available to the public. Gaylord's had Mr. Perry visit their Cleveland area department stores on a bunch of dates over the summer and into the fall of 1973, and advertised his appearances in the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
