I watch Baseball Card Collector Investor Dealer on youtube and he posted a video this weekend that struck a chord with me:

The video is only 12 minutes long, but talks about the run up of cards in the last few years. The card in question is not relevant to me, but the story of influence in cards is relevant.
1. We are influenced everyday by marketers/talkers/"experts" about cards. I always recommend doing research before jumping into anything.
2. Avoid FOMO. Nuff said.
3. In terms of vintage, I relate this to when T206s were selling for double or triple value ($20 cards going for $40 or $60). I am glad that has come down to more reasonable levels.
