I like them, though I'm only pursuing the 1953-55 Dormand issue at this time. I'm good with either signed or unsigned and don't mind a postmark at all - it pegs the card to a certain date/time/location, though the USPS does usually take it's toll on the corners/edges.
Also, you can occasionally find postcards that are signed and addressed in the players handwriting as is the Rizzuto below.
